OPI Mariah Carey Holiday 2013 Liquid Sand

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a good holiday. Mine was surprisingly devoid of new polish. I thought that would be everyone's go-to Christmas gift for me but instead I think my family and boyfriend are staging an intervention! That's perfectly fine, though (the not receiving polishes part, NOT the intervention part! I won't admit that I have a problem!). I adore the gifts that I got and you won't see me complaining. That being said, I want to show you the three polishes that I did get for Christmas - three OPI Liquid Sand minis from the Mariah Carey 2013 Holiday collection, given to me by my lovely grandmother.

First up is Make Him Mine, a rosy metallic textured polish with silver glitters. This polish is so sparkly and shiny, I instantly fell in love with it! The formula was great on all of these. I used two coats for the photo below.

Next up is Baby Please Come Home, a silvery metallic purple textured polish with silver glitter. This one disappointed me a little because it came out much more silver than purple on the nail. The purple color was more prominent in the bottle. I was impressed with this polish, though, because this picture was taken this morning after three days of wear, with one of those days including a 12 hour shift at the hospital and look! Only minimal tip wear! I like that in a polish. Formula was good,  I used two coats for the photo below.

Lastly, have Silent Stars Go By, a champagne pink textured polish with silver glitter. I don't know about you, but I think this one is perfect for New Years Eve! Formula was good. I used two coats for the photo below.

I am really impressed with these OPI Liquid Sand polishes! I love how sparkly they are. I think I may have to buy the full size of Make Him Mine and maybe even a few more from this collection. Which ones do you like?

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Club Poptastic Collection

Hey everyone! Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for? I'm thankful for my wonderful family and friends, my kitty Finn, my nursing career, my job, a loving home, nail polish and of course my followers of my blog and my Instagram! Today I have a bit of an unusual post for the season. I came across a box set of seven polishes from the Color Club Poptastic Collection for $10 when I was shopping at Marshall's the other day. It was a no-brainer - I HAD to buy them. I mean come on, 7 Color Club polishes for $10? You'd be crazy to pass that up. So here's some neon nail polish to brighten up your winter season :)

First up is Poptastic, a neon barbie pink creme. It's lighter and a bit more red toned in person. The formula was slightly streaky. However, all of these swatches are without top coat. Look at that high shine finish! Shown is 3 coats.

Next is Warhol, a hot pink creme with blue undertones and a slight satin finish. Great formula - shown is 2 coats, no top coat.

Next is Wham! Pow!, an absolutely eye searing neon orange creme. As you can see, my camera freaked out a little bit with this color. The formula was pretty streaky. Shown is 3 coats, no top coat.

Next is Almost Famous, a bright yellow creme. The formula was surprisingly good for this kind of shade. Shown is 2 coats, no top coat.

Twiggy is a light kelly green creme bordering on mint. The formula was perfect. Shown is 2 coats, no top coat.

Chelsea Girl is a lovely medium blue with a crelly/satin finish. This was one of my favorites of this collection. The formula was buttery and smooth and the color just popped off my nails! This is what I imagine the color of Nails Inc. Baker Street would look like (since I've never seen it in person - boo!). Shown is 2 coats, no top coat.

Finally, we have Pucci-licious! I love the name, it's kind of naughty 0_0 This is a medium purple creme. The formula was great, shown is 2 coats, no top coat.

I hope you enjoyed a little burst of neon on your Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by!

Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler

Hey everyone! Today I have a quick post for you - Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler layered over Zoya Blu.

Zoya Blu is a gorgeous baby blue creme. It was almost a one-coater, which is pretty amazing for a color like this. The formula was flawless. Shown is two coats of Zoya Blu.

Next, I layered one coat of Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler over Zoya Blu. This polish is gorgeous! It has a rainbow of medium and small hex glitters in a clear base with a light blue shimmer. The formula on this was great, but I'm really glad Rainbow Honey has changed their mini bottles since these. These mini bottles have huge lids and very short brushes, which makes it a bit difficult to work with the polish. However, I was able to manage and, like I said, Rainbow Honey has changed their mini bottles since these were released.

I'm loving this combo! If you didn't know, 20% Cooler is part of a collection that was inspired by the characters of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This polish was inspired by the awesome Rainbow Dash!
